Becoming Captain of my high school drumline

I was a starting my Freshman year of high school and had always loved playing the drums. Three weeks before school started I got a call from the band director at my high school wondering if I would be interested in joining the marching band. I had never even touched a marching percussion instrument before and wasn't really sure if I was up for it. But I said yes and got started. Four years later I was the Captain of my own line, setting school history by having an undefeated marching season, having a record high percussion score of 92.1 and go on to the State Championships for the second year in a row. The one choice to be a freshman third bass drummer on a high school drumline, changed my life. It open the doors for me in so many ways and taught me many life lessons. Not only did it bring my skills to a collegiate level, but also helped me improve on many other instruments I play.

Great Story!
I think this one is a winner!
