Being "Dragged" to see Joe Morello

My father, a Jazz drummer at the time, dragged me to see Joe Morello at Fat Tuesdays in NYC back in mid 90's. At the time, I was a big fan of rock drummers like Neil Peart. After many failed attempts at getting me to appreciate Jazz, my father dragged me out to see Joe on a cold, snowing Thursday night. So we're both sitting there, about 30 minutes after the band was supposed to start playing, wondering if Joe would show. Just then, Joe walks in, winter coat on, snow all over him. He finds his way behind the drum kit, takes his jacket off and launches (cold) into the greatest two sets of drumming I have ever experienced to this day. Needless to say, a week later I was at my first drum lesson and wanting to be like Joe ever since!

Great Story!
I think this one is a winner!
I've Got One...
I want to submit MY game-changing moment.
