  • WHAT INSPIRES YOU?

During my first time in Japan years and years ago I took for the first time a pair of SD6 for a drum solo. Playing it, made me experience another level of dynamics and sound on drums. I played in a big theater fully in silence, allowing me phrasing soft melodies and suddenly swiping for wood tip and explode! That was remarkable and something I always try to keep on.

  • WORDS OF WISDOM FOR THE NEXT GENERATION OF DRUMMERS

The moment. I obligate to myself to be unpredictable for any solo. Each moment has to be unique. It is not about to show off, it is just about to make a non-expected moment. You have to surprise yourself every night! Exchanging energy with musicians and the audience. Then, they will catch the magic!

  • FAVORITE ZILDJIAN CYMBAL/COMBO

I use Vic Firth because I know exactly how it will sound even before the first hit.
