If a 2B is too short and a Metal N is too long
"Sooo here’s why these are perfect for me: I’ve been playing for 40 years and have played them all. I always seem to come back to thicker sticks, a thicker stick, gives you more expression, control, sound, especially in the studio and you don’t have to try so hard, I do agree with Thomas Lang’s theology when it comes to drumsticks. I started off by playing the Vic Firth 2B is a nice stick but not a good well-rounded stick. I found them to be too short for everything I was playing. I tried playing the Metal N but found that they were too long and didn’t give me the control I wanted, then I tried to rock nylon and it was perfect. It gives me everything I was looking for without compromising feel and controllability. I use the nylon tip because I was always wearing tips out before the stick, tips always have to be perfect for me and nylon ensures that. The nice thing about using Vic Firth nylon tips is that they sound almost natural as wood but gives you a bit more clarity. Try them out and let me know what you think"
