Go to practice sticks

"These fulfill the intention they were made for really well. They are lighter than regular 5A, and the volume they put out is lower. This factors make them perfect to practice and develop your technique, so they make you work a little bit more for the sound to be clear and crisp, but when you do, they sound amazing. Would recommend them to drumers trying to improve their tecnhique and sound output. For me shape is close to (if not) perfect for what I like."

Great sticks but try out first

"I love these sticks but the second pair I bought were 10g lighter and do not feel so nice to play. This is my fault though as I ordered online and didn’t get a chance to feel them first"

These sticks feel so great!!

"They really do feel like an in between of 5a and 5b. It's got the weight of a 5b, but with the swing of a 5a thanks to the longer taper. I personally love them, very classic texture and the hits are satisfying with these sticks, rebound is nice, but not out of control. I'd say very very solid pair of sticks for just about any music type, especially if your like me and you don't like switching sticks for a song because your song choices are so sporadic lol. Great sticks!!"

Outstanding stick in every way!

"As a drummer of 68 years and a Vic Firth PDT I can honestly say these sticks are everything Mike says they are. They perform great! I know 1st hand when a stick has just a little to much front end weight and gets in the way of your playing. These sticks rebound so fast that at first I had a hard time holding them back! Great balance and projection on the drums and cymbals. Thanks Mike and Vic Firth for designing a great stick!"

Very similar to regal tip 9 A's

"Great overall feel of these sticks. Rim shots don't vibrate back into your hand when slamming. I may make the switch if I can find a place that sells em locally so that I can roll out, and match weight a pair. However, Firth, provided two almost exact pairs."

Excellent Sticks

"Excellent sticks. Right between a 5A and 5B in size, the rebound on these sticks is awesome. The barrel tip sounds great on the drums as well as the cymbals. These sticks are extremely comfortable in the hand and effortlessly to play. If you are looking to try a different stick I recommend you pick up a pair or two of these. I don't think you will be disappointed. Thank you Mike Johnston and Vic Firth."
