"I have used these sticks for YEARS. Having a bit more reach along with the good balance to allow consistent and less straining using these sticks."

"Great sticks"

"There are no other sticks. These are the only drumsticks."

"I've been playing the Metal N almost exclusively since 1995. In that time, I've played all types of Metal, and these sticks have held up the best."

"I have been using these since they were the Tommy Lee model and now they are discontinued per my shop. I am so Sad about this."

"I stumbled upon these at my local music shop and had to try them since they are 17'. I am a tall human and have long arms. I remember hearing a professional drummer (Dave Elitch I believe?) talk about how your sticks react better when they are the length of your elbow to your pinky finger, and I am now a believer. They have quite a heft to them and kinda play like the Thomas Haake signatures, giving lots of power and have a surprising rebound to them. Not the best for finesse playing but I'm sure with more wood shedding I will get more intricate with these. I would love to try the Freestyle line with the longer taper to compare but they are no longer being made. I heard the metal sticks were on the chopping block as well. Why is it so hard to find long sticks, only to have them discontinued if you get lucky and find some. Ugh, too many tiny drummers! lol"

"The METAL stick has serious heft. But for such a long length and large diameter, it plays relatively effortlessly as it seems to want to rebound itself without much input from the player. Coming from the 2B it took a little getting used to the length and the weight. But from behind the kit, notes are so much clearer and more powerful even when up against very loud amps. I personally think these play better than the ROCK model due to the rebound since the taper seems to be just a hair longer in comparison. While they are aimed at metal players, you could use these with anything that requires a consistent loud dynamic range (i.e. rock, metal, pop, etc.) as they produce a VERY full tone from all the drums and especially snares/rim-shots, but also have a useable cymbal sound. A lot of big sticks or big tipped sticks sound terrible on cymbals...but not these! Recommended!"

"I normally use 2B sticks for my playing, but I thought I'd give the AC Metal stick a try. I actually love the 17" length, seems to work better for me. Because it's a little thicker than most sticks, it does have an extra weight that I am not used to. Works great when playing a hard 4/4 rock beat where you need some power. I also found them to be a good set of practice pad sticks. Overall, these sticks wouldn't be my go-to pair, but definitely great for extra reach and power."
