SD2 BOLERO

"Exactly what works for me in "quiet" settings. The big barrel gives me control so it doesn't sound like a lighter stick and the small bead gives me just enough for the cymbals to be heard."

Insane, Just Insane

"This maybe the best stick ever to be produced. And the most contradicotry one. The specs say short, fat 'n' possibly heavy. But the fingers say, more, more, more, more, more and more. When people say that the sticks are an extension of your arm, I think of the SD2 feeling. Certainly, I'm biased, but that's how it is when you find your match. And it's a match made in heavy. P. S. hard bop, post bop, fusion, orchestra all the way to black metal. . . . it does it ALL"

Perfect for jazz trio

"I play "real book gigs" in small venues in a guitar, bass and small drumset format, and our repertoire includes bebop, hard bop and lots of jazz samba and bossa nova. The SD2 has a ball tip which facilitates ride cymbal articulation at low volumes. I also love the beefy cross stick sound that it produces, which is perfect for bossa nova and latin grooves. This is my go stick for trio playing."

Old school conditioning.

"Have used Bolero stick for over 60 years. Excellent practice and conditioning sticks. I still have the original burned branded sticks. These sticks have not change over the years either exception of the market label. Thank you VF."

better all around

"well, this is simple. this stick not only helped my playing sound better, it's helping me become a better person. great tip, shoulder, and weight."

My "go to" stick. . . but where is the SD2N. . . ?

"I've been using the SD2 for well over 25 years as my primary drum stick for both live and studio work. I just wish I could still get hold of the nylon tipped version (they seem to have disappeared off the shelves years ago) so that I can use them on mesh head electronic drums without them wearing the regular tips to a pencil point. . . !"

I have bought these sticks again and again!

"This is my first purchase of new sticks in 15 plus years. They feel lighter in weight than my 2005 batch, but the overall balance and precision is as expected. Avoiding a gratuitous rim shot certainly prolongs the sticks life! A fine choice I think!"

This stick literally took me to all-state.

"The end of this stick is so perfectly balanced. The lightness, perfect for quiet, flurries of notes, whilst the back is heavy enough for loud, emphasized forte playing. Perfect for concert snare. On top of that, the stick works perfect for drum-set playing. Light enough to move around the kit like butter, but heavy enough to bring out any sound volume I need. Used the same pair for over a year in both concert and drum-set settings and have never failed me. I've used them in all-district, all-state, band assessment, and summer music camps. Perfect sticks."

Lasted 3 years!

"I'm a percussionist, and these were my first ever drum sticks. They lasted from 6th grade to almost the end of the eighth grade year. Would reccomend!"

This is a great product

"The thing I like about this drumstick is the weight"
