"I have several sizes and styles of Vic Firth sticks, and they are always reliable and perform well. I have tried other brands and I end up giving them to Goodwill. Vic Firth sticks feel great in the hands with no annoying vibration sometimes quite obvious with other brands. I no longer purchase anything other than Vic Firth. I am no great drummer but regardless, nothing is more important than the sticks you use. They must feel good, be well balanced, even, the right weight for the task and last a decent amount of time. Other sticks are somewhat "gimmicky" with the worst ones sending shockwaves up your arms. I experimented with other brands but finally realized nothing compared to Vic Firth."

"One year ago I fell in love with these sticks. It was like I entered Mr. Ollivander's and he instantly would know which kind of wand I need. They just felt right in my hands. I play with this sticks everyday and I have two pairs left but I really hope that they'll be produced again, because they are just so amazing and the measures are excellent."

"I've been using these same sticks for years and I love them, the AJ4s are thin and light but have really good tone. I wouldn't say there is any cons about these sticks, they are perfect."

"I'm primarily a jazz player; trio's, quartets, big bands. Mostly bop & post-bop styles. The longer shoulder taper really makes speed, articulation, and dynamics a breeze! The tip brings out a solid fat tone on the ride cymbal. The weight and balance of this stick are perfect for me. The 8 pairs I recently ordered have all been good quality and nicely matched."
