I really like these dampeners
"The tom and base tones are great. The rebound and control of the stick is great, almost like a practice pad but the underlying drum tone is still audible. The bass drum still rebounds the same as without the mutes. The only thing that I wish was different, and this would be true with any cymbal mute on the market, is that the initial sound of each cymbal burst out as it would without the mute but decays in a second. This means you can hear what the cymbal would have sounded like, but the sound is very short lived. That is probably the best you can ask for in cymbal muting though. The bells and the ride give the same rebound as a practice pad. All around, this is a great package."
