The paint drags down these greats drumsticks

"I really like the feel of these drumsticks - the blended tip allows for excellent rebound and articulation on the ride. However, while the white paint may look nice and shiny, it's impractical. It strips away quickly and makes the drumsticks look ugly compared to natural wood. The drumsticks also become slippery and uncomfortable after a while, so if you have sweaty hands, you're probably going to hate them. I'd recommend getting the Matt Garstka signature drumsticks instead."

I really like the BRs

"The weight and balance are good for me. The tip gives me just the right amount of power,can add more if needed. The white paint I thought I wouldn't like never played on any hate that red grip stuff. But. . . . What ever they use I find the paint is less friction on my hands especially right and the the stick don't really slide around in my left either. So the paint just makes it easier for me to hold my sticks. I'm just getting back to playing on the kit but always working on the pads. So I did have sticks in my hands. These have made a difference for me. The feel and weight ease of grip they work for me."
