Adam Passalacqua

The Franklin Electric

Adam Passalacqua got his start at the age of 12 with his first band Runaway Slide, also composed of his two other cousins. Their blues-rock style allowed them to gain recognition within Quebecs blues circuit. In 2008, they opened for Canadian blues legend Frank Marino & Mahogany Rush in Omaha, Nebraska. That same year, following their successful momentum, they won the Lys Blues Award for best upcoming band.

For 6 years, he was a touring member of Juno nominated band, The Franklin Electric where he played drums, keyboards, synth, and sang background vocals. He has performed in hundreds of concerts including North American and European tours where the band shared the stage alongside notable acts such as Half Moon Run, Kaleo, and City & Colour. Highlights include sold out shows at MTelus, Osheaga, Place Bell, and the Montreal Jazz Festival.

At this very moment, Adam is touring with newly notable Montreal French rapper, Fredz and a few other artists. He is also dedicated to mastering his newly creative path; songwriting, producing and recording.

  • Most memorable Next-Level Performance

I'd have to say, our sold out MTelus show in our home town (Montreal) was quite memorable. I not only felt connected to my band mates but also a strong connection with the audience is important and that moment was so special to me.
  • What Drives Your Creativity?

Listening drives my creativity. I've been DJing for a few years now which forces me to surround myself with various styles of music. Everything I hear inspires me on the kit and I try to bring that diversity to my band as much as possible.
  • Why do you choose Vic Firth?

Comfort, Consistency and Loyalty... Ever since I first hit the stage, I've been using Vic Firth sticks. I've always owned my craft and felt comfortable with a pair in my hands.
