I am both honoured and grateful to have been associated with Vic Firth since 1996 - a great company with great people making great products. My work often involves many genres of music and my choice of VF sticks and mallets allows me to cross musical boundaries with ease, every time...

Allan is one of Londons busiest and most versatile drummers - from jazz to rock to orchestra to education. He has worked on many shows in Londons West End in addition to touring both nationally and internationally. Major productions include the acclaimed Donmar Warehouse productions of Company, City of Angels and Sweet Charity, and live TV and global cinema broadcasts of both The Rocky Horror Show and Monty Python Live at the O2, also now available on DVD. He also worked on 50 Years at the National, another live TV show and DVD recording. Numerous other highlights in an extensive career include, among others, Chicago (Adelphi), West Side Story (50th Anniversary Tour), Follies (Royal Albert Hall), Sinatra (London Palladium), Kiss Me, Kate (Victora Palace), Guys & Dolls (Savoy), Porgy & Bess (Savoy), Mamma Mia! (Finland, Israel, China, Hungary & Switzerland), Wicked (Victoria Apollo) and three productions of Strictly Gershwin with English National Ballet on tour and at the Royal Albert Hall. In 2016 the traditional musical theatre art form of pantomime returned to the London Palladium and Allan has worked on this show annually, productions including Cinderella, Dick Whittington, Snow White and Goldilocks.

He works with many major orchestras including the LSO, RPO, BBC Concert Orchestra, BBC Radio Orchestra, Danish Radio Orchestra, Welsh National Opera, English National Ballet, BBC Big Band and the Danish Radio Big Band in Copenhagen.

Allan has always had a keen interest in education and has an extensive private teaching practise.
