Antoine Fadavi

King Princess

At the time when many young people move away from home to go to college, Antoine Fadavi left Paris to come to Los Angeles. But, unlike most, it wasnt to start college. It was to kick-start his career as a musician and musical director/producer in the mecca of the music world.

Once in Los Angeles, Antoine set about acquiring the skills he knew hed need to be successful” both musically and professionally. In addition to accepting a wide variety of playing gigs, creating and editing video content and handling multi-media marketing projects, he went out of his way to meet and collaborate with local musicians and music producers.

It was through these interactions that Antoine met singer/songwriter King Princess and joined her band. He played drums on KPs sold out œPussy Is God and œCheap Queen tours and, in the months that followed, added performances at acclaimed festivals such as Austin City Limits, Coachella, Bonnaroo, Lollapalloza and The Governors Ball as well as appearances on popular late-night TV shows including Saturday Night Live and The Late Show with Stephen Colbert.

More recently Antoines expanding skills and professional contacts led to work as Musical Director for rising stars Ella Isaacson and Little Luna plus an Assistant to the MD role for Grammy Award-winning singer/rapper, Lil Nas X.

In 2022, among Antoines other planned projects, King Princess and the band will be direct support on major arena tours for Kacey Musgraves (US) and Shawn Mendes (Europe).

Saturday Night Live. Such an exhilarating stage to perform on. The audience is quite close to the stage, which makes it an intimate setting!
  • What Drives Your Creativity?

My friends drive my creativity most. Seeing them in their element, discussing the music we love, sharing tips, tricks and stories.
  • Why do you choose Vic Firth?

I've been an advocate of using Vic Firth as long as I've played drums. They deliver on their promises, and never fail to raise the bar higher.
