Bella Matthews began playing drums at age 13 after forming bands with friends in secondary school. Inspired early on by London’s jazz scene, she developed her sound across jazz fusion, rock, and alternative styles.
In 2024, Bella was a finalist in the UK Young Drummer of the Year competition, a milestone that helped launch her professional career. Since then, she has performed at renowned venues including the Royal Albert Hall, the Jazz Café, and KOKO and has shared stages with artists such as Madness and Wunderhorse.
She is currently touring Europe with Liana Flores in support of Men I Trust, and is quickly emerging as one of the most exciting young drummers on the scene.
