  • Most Memorable Next-Level Performance?

Performing with the artist ILLY as a part of the FireFight festival to raise money for the Australian fires was a standout. It was held at ANZ Stadium, in front of 80,000 people in Sydney in Feb 2020. I think what made this especially memorable was that it was the last major thing most of us did before COVID kicked off. It was also one of those perfect shows for us, where everything rolled smoothly, the crowd was right there with the energy and the sun came out for our set for what was for the most part a really overcast event. Just an unreal experience hearing all those voices sing lyrics back at you! Its one i will never forget!

  • What Drives Your Creativity?

Blocking out the noise of a world that currently speaks without thinking, that just excepts mediocrity for art because the platforms are all about "look at me", and "i want my piece of cultural validation", playing with musicians who support and drive you to be better, and that play with passion and conviction, rather than the safe bet of what will get likes.

  • Why Do You Choose Vic Firth?

Im a big fan of supporting family orientated companies. Here in Australia in between tours i do drum tech work for a company called Deluxe, a family run company that has become perhaps the most reputable and successful backline company in Aus. I believe that when a company runs on a family dynamic of support and loyalty then everyone wins. Vic Firth has always felt like a company that keeps it real and supportive. Justin Malseed here in Aus, is perhaps one of the most hands on and supportive Artist reps ive ever worked with and for that ill be using Vic Firth till the end.
