Hailing from the suburbs of Dallas, Brady Knippa currently resides in sunny Austin, Texas as the touring drummer for Dayglow. Holding a B.A. in Percussion from the University of Texas, Brady has also been a member of Nana and Big Wy's Brass Band, with performances at the 2017 and 2019 IGA Guatemala Jazz Festivals, 2019 CCCA Costa Rica Jazz Festival, and SXSW.
Armed with a pair of chopsticks, pots and pans, and a copy of Dave Weckl's "Back to Basics" on VHS, Brady's zeal for drumming was unearthed at an early age. Twelve subsequent years of percussion ensemble, orchestra, concert, and marching bands led to his first gig in Austin in 2015, and the rest is history.
