Daniel Diaz (04-24-1987), is a Puerto Rican percussionist, artist and producer. Started playing percussion at age 4 with his dad. Then started getting private classes with percussion masters like Giovanni Hidalgo, Tito de Gracia, David La mole, Richie Flores and many more. At age 13 he started playing with many local bands, making his way up playing with big bands. He studied a bachelor’s degree in performance and arrangement with a second degree in sound engineering. Music has taken in to world biggest stages and artists. Artists like Residente Calle 13, Shakira, Ricky Martin, Carlos Vives, Ricardo Montaner, Mon Laferte, Bad Bunny, Giovanni Hidalgo, Draco Rosa, Diego El Cigala, El Gran Combo de Puerto Rico, Ismael Miranda and much more. Daniel invented an instrument called El tripandero that consist of putting the 3 panderos of plena in one stand to be played simultaneously. He is known to play a special multipercussion set up that combines drums with percussion.
