WHAT INSPIRES YOU?

Many years ago, I was on a tour with three of my bands, playing three sets in a row. I became violently sick after the first set from food poisoning. I was so weak and on the verge of passing out, I didn’t know how I would get through the following two sets. Somehow that instance miraculously unlocked the “moeller” technique for me, out of absolute necessity. Before then I had always choked up on my sticks like a caveman. I’ve played so much more fluidly ever since that night.

Other than the natural creative impulse that’s inside all of us, I think the most inspiring thing is blending music, culture, and art. There are so many things to learn. It’s up to you to blend them into your own unique creation.
