DANIEL SCHILD is a very versatile highly in-demand drummer and percussionist (live and studio) from Germany and has worked or is still working with artists from around the globe.

He's what you could call a chameleon on the drums: He studied Jazz but is also known for his skills in playing metal, his creativity in playing world music, his groove for funk and fusion or his straight, tight and tasty playing in pop music! Up 'til now Daniel toured in more than 30 countries, played headlining concerts up to 25.000 people and recorded for over 50 albums.

He is writing workshops for the DRUMHEADS! magazine and has also built himself a reputation as clinician/workshop/solo drummer for drum festivals or drummer meetings.

He worked beside many others with Ellis Hall, The Tom Coster Trio, Sydney Youngblood, Brandy Butler, Paddy Goes To Hollyhead, Sons of Seasons, or Blaze Bayley, and is currently in the drummers seat for Jonas Monar, Chima, Afshin and Stereokai.

  • Most memorable Next-Level Performance

Performing with the TOM COSTER Trio was an game changer for me. Tom kicked my ass on stage and absolutely brought my playing to another level.
  • What Drives Your Creativity?

The search for new music, new styles and new musicians keeps me up, running and keeps me creative and looking for new ways to express myself on the drums.
  • Why do you choose Vic Firth?

My favorite Vic Firth tool are the Steve Smith Signature Sticks. For me the perfect pair when it comes to balance, feel and sound.
