Playing with my own group at the IAJE convention in NYC with Randy Brecker, Gerry Bergonzi, Kenny Werner and John Lockwood, where we took it to another level, was one of the most rewarding performances of my life.
What Drives Your Creativity?

Life! As I got older I realized that my playing did and should reflect me and what I was about. My life and what's happening in it fuels my drumming. I'm still influenced by other great musicians but now it's more spiritually than technically.
Why Do You Choose Vic Firth?

Brushes are an integral part of jazz drumming more so than any other music. The VF split brushes changed the way I could articulate on the instrument and allowed me to do things I always heard, but failed to express.
