David Taylor studied Percussion Performance at the University of Cincinnati/College-Conservatory of Music where his principal teacher was William Youhass. Other mentors include Salvatore Rabbio, Gordon Stout, and Tim Hagans. David performs with the Michigan Opera Theater Orchestra and has performed with the Detroit Symphony Orchestra. He has been on countless recordings, including music for ESPN and the new Looney Tunes Theme music. David has been a member of Wayne State University's jazz faculty since 1992 and has toured Europe, South Africa and Japan. In addition, he has taught at the Interlochen National Music Camp.
