Efthimis Tsakonitis is a session drummer based in Greece. As a child he was very passionate about music and listened different kind of genres on the radio.
He started playing drums in the early 90’s at the age of 14 and began playing in clubs and live events with several rock, metal and Greek folk/traditional bands at his hometown area Lamia, Central Greece.
Meanwhile started his music education by taking annual drum courses in ”Modern Music School” (based in Athens) and attended in several drum clinics that conducted by famous virtuoso drum players like Akira Jimbo, Jojo Mayer, Steve Smith, Dave Weckl etc.
He has collaborated with many well-known artists of Greek pop and Greek folk/traditional music scene in Greece, Europe and Canada.
Efthimis Tsakonitis is a drum instructor at the Municipal Conservatory of Lamia – Central Greece and gives also private lessons at the Music High School of Lamia – Central Greece.
