  • Most Memorable Next-Level Performance?

Giving the world premiere of Lee Che Yi's Double Percussion Concerto with the National Chinese Orchestra Taiwan in Taipei.

  • What Drives Your Creativity?

My creativity is driven by the people around me—my students, my colleagues, and the incredible performers I have the privilege to watch and collaborate with. My students constantly challenge me to think in new ways and approach music with fresh curiosity. Seeing other performers express themselves pushes me to take risks and explore new artistic directions. And ultimately, it’s the connections I make through music—the shared experiences, emotions, and stories—that keep me inspired to create and keep growing as an artist.

  • Why Do You Choose Vic Firth?

The sound and design of Vic Firth mallets and sticks perfectly mirrors my own approach to percussion—precision, musicality, and expressive depth. Whether behind a drum set or a marimba, their implements elevate my performance and allow me to communicate with clarity and artistry.
