  • WHAT INSPIRES YOU?

One of my most memorable breakthrough moments in my career was actually during a Christmas tour and I was playing the Grand Ole Opry. The room was so joyful and energetic. My friends and family were in the audience and I just allowed myself to be purely in the moment. The band was locked and I was able to just respond and create musically because I wasn't trying to impress anyone; I was just collaborating and creating musical moments from pure joy and fun. It is crazy how free you can be when you get out of your head and just play in the moment!

  • WORDS OF WISDOM FOR THE NEXT GENERATION OF DRUMMERS

For me, the biggest thing that drives my creativity is people and human connection. I believe that individuality is most fully realized through collaboration and community. My hope is to create art that will help people to understand themselves and others more deeply.

  • FAVORITE ZILDJIAN CYMBAL/COMBO

I remember the first time I switched to VF and had that "eye opening" experience that made me realize I was missing an important part of my sound. My sticks allow me to unlock the purest level of my playing. They are an extension of my body and give me a level of comfort behind the drums that I have never felt before!
