Gledson Meira is a drummer, professor, researcher and author. He is a Master of Music (2001) and is currently studying a doctorate in music. He is a drum professor at the Department of Music at the Federal University of Paraaba - UFPB since 2010. He has played and recorded with several artists of Brazilian music, especially of northeastern music. Since 2012 he plays with Chico Casar with whom he tours all over Brazil and the world. In 2019 the album Estado de Poesia (Chico Cesar) won the award for best album of the year in the Brazilian music award.
