Most memorable Next-Level Performance
The Buddy Rich 25th Anniversary Memorial Concert, London Palladium, the same stage Buddy played the “Command Performance” for the Queen, my first show with the band…sound check…I see Dave Weckl and Gavin Harrison side stage left, whispering to each other…..Ian Paice and John Blackwell on stage right….Ginger Baker sulking backstage….no pressure!!! -
What Drives Your Creativity?
Listening to other musicians, especially drummers, seeing them play, spurs creativity in my playing. Of course, playing with other musicians and listening to other’s create also gets the ideas flowing. A positive nod from a fellow band mate can also trigger ideas! -
Why do you choose Vic Firth?
Simply the best drumstick made. Nature may make the wood, but VF makes the stick! Perfection in motion. When playing the drums, the drumstick is your tool to create the art on your kit. The painter has a brush, a surgeon a scalpel, a drummer has Vic Firth!
