Hugo Alcazar is a Peruvian drummer and educator renowned for his versatility in various musical genres and known for his innovative drum style with Afro-Peruvian rhythms and jazz. He has participated in various musical projects and recordings with artists and groups such as Gabriel Alegria Afro-Peruvian Sextet, Andres Prado Trio, Eva Ayllon, Los de Adentro and Geoffrey Keezer with the album aurea (ArtistShare) that was nominated as Best Latin Jazz Album GRAMMY® award 2009.
