I am a fully qualified teacher holding a P.G.C.E and I worked for over seven years providing peripatetic teaching in schools throughout the South Wales area. I have assisted in school productions and the assessment of GCSE candidates for course work. I have also taught on a freelance basis for Community Music Wales. I have also lectured at Coleg Glan Hafren in Cardiff on their 1st National and Higher National Music Diploma courses. Courses taught included Live Performance Workshop, Understanding Music, History of Popular Music and Music in Context. I have maintained a busy private teaching practice for over eleven years teaching all ages and abilities and assisting over one hundred pupils through various Rock school and Trinity Guildhall Examinations. My playing experience runs from rock and funk to jazz and Latin American styles. My studies have included lessons from a local teacher Colin Humphries and also from three instructors in London “ Colin Woolway (founder of the Drumsense course) and Trevor Tompkins (lecturer at both the Royal Academy and the Guildhall School of Music in London.) and Allan Cox (touring professional and former student of Jim Blackley).
