After hearing a Little Richard record I knew I wanted to be a musician. Being a bit of an "over-energetic" 6 year old, I gravitated toward the drums. I found a pair of sticks at a garage sale and haven't stopped playing since. Based in Chicago, I record, tour, and play with many bands, and have a busy teaching schedule. A few of the bands over the years: Caviar, April March, Jonny Polonsky, Scott Lucas and The Married Men. From Sinatra to The Sex Pistols, if it's great music, I'm inspired!

Most memorable Next-Level Performance
On one of my first tours, we were opening for Joe Satriani. It was a big hall, and I felt like it was a great show. Unbeknownst to me, Danny Gottlieb was backstage and paid me a great compliment after. Still a highlight! -
What Drives Your Creativity?
I'm always inspired hearing and seeing great drummers, whether they're well known or not. And of course, listening to records. I can be listening to Charley Patton on just a guitar, and it can spark my creativity! -
Why do you choose Vic Firth?
I've been using Vic Firth sticks since I was a kid. They just have that right feel, always. And if a drum stick can somehow be called "classy" Vic Firths have that down!
