Jean-Pierre studied drums with Peter Erskine, Joa Baron, Trilok Gurtu, Billy Hart etc., Maria Margarita Ponce (Higher Studies in the Academy of Havana) professor of Horacio Hernandez and he played with Enrike Pla, Irakeres drummer. As a studio musician, Jean-Pierre has recorded several albums with the group, Agatha. In Europe, he is considered a researcher and drum innovator.

What Drives Your Creativity?
In Europe (Drum-show).I did to share the stage with Great Masters: Billy Cobham, Virgil Donati,Tomas Lang, Walfredo Reyes, Dave Weckl, Mike Terrana etc It was a great motivation that forced me to be creative and find my personality. I learned a lot especially humility. -

My favorite sticks are: American classic 5A "It's an extension of my creativity with a beautiful sound on the snare drum and toms."
