Jerry Roe is a session drummer living and working in Nashville, TN. A Nashville native, he's also a member of the Melodic Heavy Sludge/Punk/Rock duo Friendship Commanders, who tour the United States and elsewhere regularly.
WHAT INSPIRES YOU?
The first time a mosh-pit broke out during one of my band's performances, I felt like the intensity I'd always felt when playing my band's songs had transferred to the crowd and we were truly sharing in the performance.

I just love playing great songs. The song trumps everything, from getting to play crazy chops or polyrhythms. I just want to elevate a great song.

They feel perfectly weighted and smooth to grip, and they respond to drums well without feeling stiff or vibrating too much. They feel VERY musical to me.
