Jomon "Joe" Jacob is a drummer based in Bangalore, India. Hailing from Thiruvalla, Kerala, a state in Southern India, Joe began his career as a drummer at the age of 17. He developed a passion for drumming at church, playing in the gospel circuit, and further honing his skills. He has since played in bands spanning genres such as rock, progressive metal, and fusion, having toured the world many times with the critically acclaimed Raghu Dixit Project. He is their full-time drummer and percussionist. He is also a drum instructor, and founded Joe's Drum School, in Bangalore. Joe believes in getting 'em young, coaching the next generation of drummers and percussionists, with an overwhelming number of talented young students, as well as many advanced drummers in the local music scene. He has a passion for teaching music and is poised to be one of the country's leading drum instructors.
"I've played gigs in almost empty rooms and tents, in small towns in India. I've also played to massive crowds at Glastonbury Festival, and the Opera House in Sydney. I've been privileged to perform with some of the best musicians in the country, and am so humbled and grateful for everything I've been given."
