  • Most memorable Next-Level Performance

A few years ago, I was asked by my worship leader to cover for a jazz / R&B trio concert with 10 time Grammy winner Khristian Dentley. The MD asked me if I had brushes... I sure do, hard mallets? Yes sir. Light jazz sticks? Oh yeah. Had all they need in my VF stick bag and much more. That was a few years ago. Now when Khristian comes into town, I'm so prepared and continue to perform with him. For me that was the WOW moment. Thank God I read music, but so much more importantly that my VF products were there, ready for that WOW moment.
  • What Drives Your Creativity?

As a youngster I listened to so many different drummers and my father would always take me to concerts to get that personal feel of what it looks and sounds like. Like David Garibaldi, Buddy Rich, James Brown, so many others. What they all did and created, I do that all the time and even as a bandleader. Some of your most famous drummers are the best band leaders.
  • Why do you choose Vic Firth?

I was with another stick company for so many years, a stick we used when I marched with The Santa Clara Vanguard Drum & Bugle Corps. My hands are very sensitive and would always get blisters. My uncle Ralph Hardimon (my Instructor for over 5 years and dear friend) told me about Vic Firth, and to try out their sticks. My hands were immediately loving the feel of the wood and the weight of the 3A - I knew I had to be with Vic Firth. The best decision I ever made, and I'm a proud artist to be with such an amazing family of percussionists and drummers from around the globe. Thank you, Uncle Ralphie.
