Independent

I started playing the drums at 17 years old on a set of a friend and I have not stopped since then; now I am 53. Throughout my life has been a constant motivation and love for the instrument, which has led me to make three books, a hundred clinics and masterclasses all over the country. Some of the best moments of my professional career are the master class with Dom Famularo in the festival of La Rioja, or playing along with Victor Mendoza or David Liebman. Currently I am more focused on education being part of the staff of professors of the University Alfonso X el Sabio.

  • WHAT INSPIRES YOU?

Playing with Victor Mendoza and Tatiana Koleva (Vibraphonist Bulgarian). We were on the stage and they invited me to play, and I said, 'Ok, let's play, oh, something simple 7/8 Bulgarian without rehearsing and live", and it was a great success.

  • WORDS OF WISDOM FOR THE NEXT GENERATION OF DRUMMERS

Listening to musicians like Mark Guiliana or Tony Williams.

  • FAVORITE ZILDJIAN CYMBAL/COMBO

I choose Vic Firth for its great tradition in the world of battery and for the great people behind it.
