Konstantyn Napolov

Solo Percussionist/The Dutch Golden Collection

Konstantyn is a solo and chamber Concert Percussionist and founder of The Dutch Golden Collection. He is the recipient of numerous of international scholarships won the 2016 Prins Bernhard Cultuurfonds prize ‚¬15.000,-, in the 2016/2017 principal position at "The World Percussion Group", USA/Mexico tour. In 2015, he was accepted to the œChosen Vale academy and awarded the Collin Curie scholarship and won two first prizes at the International Music Competition in Belgrade Serbia. In 2014, he was the principal timpanist at the Mannheimer Philharmoniker, Germany, a Finalist of the Dutch Classical Talent, and passed through 3 rounds at the ARD International Music Competition in Ma¼nchen. In 2013, he earned the first prize of the Grachtenfestival Concours 2013 of Royal Concertgebouw Amsterdam. In 2018 debut CD The Collectors was released followed by international success. Konstantyn Napolov was working with such composers as David Lang, Moritz Eggert, Kaija Saariaho, Philippe Manoury, Sofia Gubaidulina, Steve Reich and many others.

    Trying to have those moments every season. Examples can be: Performing Steve Reich's master work Music for 18 Musicians at the biggest POP festival in The Netherlands with 5.000 in public - https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=gq7nDgnZhJ8&t=1602s. Premiering (Dutch première) David Lang's triple concerto Pierced with the orchestra in 2019. Performance in the finals of the Royal Music Competitions - which I won.
