  • WHAT INSPIRES YOU?

Glastonbury with Tom Odell - We were due to perform on The Other Stage in the late afternoon with a show the night before in Germany. Having supposed to have flown over that night post show we were unable to fly due to the most insane thunderstorm with the worst lightning I had ever seen forcing us to fly the morning of Glastonbury. We arrived at the airport in London cutting it very fine to one of the most important gigs for that artist at that time, nether the less we had landed, were feeling good, and were ready to get on the tour bus that was due to pick us up at the terminal ...only to find that it had broken down somewhere on the motorway. Without hesitation our Tour Manager hurled us all into an array of London style cabs and we did a big convoy all the way to the festival arriving just in time! The combination of the tiredness, the adrenaline of 'will we make it there' and the fact that it was Glastonbury made it one of the most memorable performances for me.

  • WORDS OF WISDOM FOR THE NEXT GENERATION OF DRUMMERS

Watching and seeing how other musicians approach their instrument tends to really inspire me, and just hearing something really exciting tends to spark my creativity.

  • FAVORITE ZILDJIAN CYMBAL/COMBO

My Grandad bought me my 1st ever pair of sticks when I was just 6 years old (well 2nd really, as the 1st was a crappy cheap pair that came with the kit!). He bought me a pair of Vic Firth 7A's as a present and I've never looked back or chosen any other stick brand to that day. Now much older there is also so much more to the decision to using these amazing sticks. They are the only clear professional choice for me.
