I started drumming at age 11 studying with local percussionist Larry Troxel and eventually with the great Joe Porcaro. My style is all things rock n roll, stemming from my intrigue of jazz influenced early rock drummers like Mitch Mitchell, Ringo, Ginger Baker, John Bonham, Bun E. Carlos and of course the GOAT, Buddy Rich. I've worked with Don Felder, Frank Simes (The WHO), Jay Buchanan, Twelvehourmary, Chris Hanlin, and Magnet Monks, etc. Makin' it swing is my thing!

Most memorable Next-Level Performance
My favorite moments come when my band is improvising. Whether jamming or expanding a tune on stage, as soon as the ESP starts flowing between us, that's when the magic happens! -
What Drives Your Creativity?
We drummers often work in a supportive role. I love working directly with a writer and contributing to a new song. My favorite is coming up with ways to spin new music in a unique direction....with my drums! -
Why do you choose Vic Firth?
Vic's sticks! Their rock solid consistency feels great every time I pick 'em up. They sound great too. What?! Yes, drumsticks have a sound. Vic's make my cymbals and drums SOUND better!
