I started playing drums at 15 and recorded the album "40oz to Freedom" as a member of Sublime when I was 19. My appreciation and ear for all types of music came from my father who played Jazz and Blues rhythm guitar in Chicago--my bithplace--with all the greats that travelled the "Chitlin' Circuit" including Howlin' Wolf, T-Bone Walker, and Otis Redding; yet, his favorite guitarist was the great Chet Atkins. I have shared this love for all types of music Movements and this has been the foundation of my approach to the multi-genre music I've created with Sublime, the Long Beach Dub Allstars, Good Charlotte, KRS-ONE, and several many artists.
