Matt Traynor

Matt Traynor is the original drummer and one of the founding members of Phoenix, Arizona post hardcore act, blessthefall. The band had started in high school playing and winning numerous talent shows and battle of the bands until the local scene of AZ took notice. Labels, management, booking agents and Kevin Lyman of Warped Tour took notice and jumped on while BTF took steam selling out clubs in their hometown. Matt started out playing the drums around the age of 14. Influences started out with Travis Barker in the punk scene and soon transitioned into the metal area with Jordan Mancino of As I Lay Dying. In 2005, blessthefall finally started to transition into a œtouring act. Playing big named tours such as œRadio Rebellion, Taste of Chaos, and Warped Tour, the band sky rocketed past being just a local phenomenon. Their first album, HIS LAST WALK, hit the Heatseakers chart at #32. 2 years later, WITNESS slammed the Billboard at #56. 2 years after that, AWAKENING took the Billboards by storm at #31. HOLLOW BODIES dropped in 2013 in the top 200 at #15 exceeding all expectations with over 21,000 copies sold first week.
