Matt Young

I'm a musician based out of the beautiful Denton, TX. I play drums and write music for my co-led band, AMP Trio, electronic deep-space fusion mission, Sky Window, and as of late, touring with Mr. Christopher Cross. I came to a love of improvisational music through growing up in the Atlanta area, and found my love for drums thanks to a few special mentors of mine: Ed Soph, Justin Varnes, Eric Harland, Paula Williams, and Bob Belden. I feel lucky every day for the opportunity to make sounds and bring some joy to other people's lives. And of course, to play VIC FIRTH!
