Delta Rae / BaldMan Percussion / Drum Team Collective
Mike McKee (born in Raleigh NC, living in Nashville TN) is the drummer/percussionist for the band Delta Rae, founding partner of Drum Team Collective, and co-creator of "The Junk Hat" by BaldMan Percussion. He has traveled the world with Delta Rae since 2009, and has performed on Conan O Brien, The Tonight Show with Jay Leno, and The Late Show with Seth Meyers.
WHAT INSPIRES YOU?
Delta Rae had a magical moment when we played the main stage of Hangout Fest (Gulf Shores, AL) in 2013 when we made a last minute decision to play a brand new song "Chasing Twisters"...it wasn't rehearsed and barely even a finished song but we were firing on all cylinders and listening so carefully to each other...the musical gods smiled upon us and we nailed it!

Inspired ideas from any arena: tech, music, art, products drives me. When someone has a great and inspired idea and really teases it out and does the hard work to make the vision into a reality THAT is what drives me and makes me want to operate on a higher level.

I choose Vic Firth because early on they were the only stick that would actually last through several shows...that is still the case! They feel amazing, and the people at the company are amazing and supportive of all of my crazy ideas.
