A native of Rio de Janeiro, Brazil, Ney Rosauro has developed a successful international career as a percussionist, composer and pedagogue. He has appeared in solo concerts and as a soloist with orchestras in more than 45 different countries. His 11 CDs have been hailed by critics, percussionists and general music-lovers alike. Most memorable Next-Level Performance
The concert celebrating my 60th birthday with the OSTN at the Teatro Nacional em Brasilia, Brazil (my home town). The entire program was dedicated to me and I performed as soloist 2 of my concerti, wrote an overture and conducted the orchestra and also conducted a large percussion orchestra with several of my former students. -
What Drives Your Creativity?
Listen to good music (classical, brazilian and standards), reading a good book, playing Tai-Chi and practicing mallets regularly. I need to do other things that are not music related to get better inspired when I make music.
