Oli Rubow

Germanys motor of innovation concerning E-Beats, Oli Rubow was born January 30, 1972 in Germany. Since the mid-nineties he has gradually built himself a reputation as a skilled and creative performer in the modern club music scene. Interested in music like hip-hop, house and broken beats, Oli developed his own style of imitating the sound and aesthetic of electronic music, playing usually programmed grooves on his minimalistic acoustic drum set. But it is also the sound aesthetic of electronic drums, synthesizers and samples that fascinate him. These days Oli is looking for interesting ways of integrating effect stomp boxes as well as actual computer-based software solutions to his drum performance in order to shape a produced drum sound live on stage.
