Former drummer: George Duke, Diana Ross, Bobbie Gentry, Mose Allison. Also appeared with: Chet Baker, Al Jarreau, Don Ellis & Berkshire Music Center Orchestra @ Tanglewood. Started playing drums at 10yrs old in the school band. Early influences include: the snare drummer in the Hollywood Bowl Orchestra and at 15 yrs. Sam Woodyard with Duke Ellington. - plus: Earl Palmer on Little Richard records; Then on to: Max Roach, Philly Joe Jones, Shelly Mann, Buddy Rich, Elvin Jones + orchestra percussionist's Vic Firth and Roland Kohloff. Peter, also known for his teaching, won the "Yamaha Legacy Award" in 2017. Peter is an author and also known for his two books on the topic of Polyrhythms.
