Piero Perelli is a drummer and composer from Lucca, Italy.

As well as touring worldwide with acclaimed international artists and theatre productions over the last ten years, Piero spends much time in the studio, writing and recording with various project collaborations.

  • Most memorable Next-Level Performance

    For me, every performance is an opportunity for “next level” playing. I am always looking to drive my creativity, receptiveness to other musicians and technique forward day by day, show by show. I remember that a real ‘wow’ moment for me was when I got a call from New York singer Dana Fuchs for my first worldwide tour. It was a huge opportunity for me to not only extend my repertoire beyond what I was playing at the time, but also recognise and develop my own identity as a drummer in front of huge audiences, new stages each night. Needless to say, I nailed it, and have been touring with Dana since.

  • What Drives Your Creativity?

    It’s the combination of watching other artist perform, Musicians, Actor, Painter. But mostly its being in the moment, be connect with the artist you perform with and researching the resonance of the place where we are. Dreaming and discover new path together.

  • Why do you choose Vic Firth?

    When I use Vic Firth sticks the feeling in my hands is great. Vic Firth knows what the drummers want in theirs hands. I need that my sticks have the best strength, control and balance. I like the different types of sticks, mallets and brushes, and the wide range of material that Vic Firth uses. I always use VIC FIRTH because I felt confortable straight away, they are like a part of my body.
