Sam Seyong Um is a percussion artist, performer, and educator. Sam has been featured in many music series and festivals such as YellowBarn, Musical Masterworks, Nasher Sculpture Center and has appeared on the stages of renowned halls such as Carnegie Hall, Cite De la Musique of the Philharmonie de Paris, Shanghai Symphony Hall, and the Kennedy Center. Sam has also been involved with numerous tours in USA, Europe, and China with The Percussion Collective, performing and premiering numerous pieces such as œSeaborne by Garth Neustadter, and œDrum Circles by Christopher Theofanidis. Sam has been featured performing with The Oregon Symphony, The Yale Philharmonia, The Curtis Symphony, and in 2019-2020 season, with the Louisville Symphony and Baltimore Symphony.
