Born in 1996 in Pointe-a -pitre, Guadeloupe, I grew up in a family of musician listening to Billy Cobham, Lenny White, I started playing drums by having a pair of Ronald Bruner Jr watching him play with Kenny Garrett at 6 years old. Then I learned drums and played with my father Christian Laviso (a great guitarist master of the traditional musique from Guadeloupe named GWO KA). At the age of 19 I started make arrangement with the Grammy award winner Kenny Garrett on his last album, named œDo Your Dance. Then I became his drummer and I started learning more about jazz while I was touring with his quintet all over the globe. Im still now performing in band that has building so many different generation of drummers as Brian Blade, Chris Dave Ronald Bruner Jr., Elvin Jones, Marcus Baylor... Im also performing with some French artist like the Saxophonists Jowee Omicile; David Murray the pianist Mario Canonge, Michel Zeninon, and the guitarist Christian Laviso.

  • WHAT INSPIRES YOU?

the memorable moments where I felt like I unlocked that next level of playing and killed Is when Kenny Garrett decide to play duo drum sax and want to dig inside of the music but just basically goes inside of my mind . that put me in a other place where only him could put me in that place in straight ahead .

  • WORDS OF WISDOM FOR THE NEXT GENERATION OF DRUMMERS

my creativity goes with the bands member mood because we are interacting with each other .

  • FAVORITE ZILDJIAN CYMBAL/COMBO

I always chose VF to be part of my long journey since I first started play drum even when I didn’t had a drum and I was beating on evry couch , but as I was growing up playing Modern Gwo Ka I needed a straight pair stick that had a good vibration and a good feeling by touching the cymbal so I could feel good and make the best music my self has ever made very day I was playing with my dad .
