Scott Phillips started playing drums at 18. He played piano and saxophone as a kid, but the drums were always his focus. John Bonham, Will Calhoun, and Matt Cameron were his inspirations starting off, but Phillips found many influences along his journey. He's sure his Dad's steady listening of Steely Dan, Earth Wind and Fire, jazz and Motown certainly had an influence on him. Phillips met his bandmates in college, and they were fortunate enough to make relevant music at the right time. It's been quite a journey, and he's definitely grateful to still be making music today.

Most memorable Next-Level Performance
My most memorable moment would have to be the 2 nights we performed at Royal Albert Hall in London with the Parallax Orchestra. Very prestigious venue, and the shows were beyond incredible. -
What Drives Your Creativity?
Simply the love of music. I'll always draw from my influences, whether they be past or present. I try to find the right feel that each song presents, and create the groove and accents that fit. -
Why do you choose Vic Firth?
Vic Firth sticks are 2nd to none. I've been fortunate enough to play them for almost my entire career. Simply the best stick out there!
