Tim McGraw/Faith Hill

From Massillon, Ohio. Played all kinds of gigs in the Midwest at an early age. Moved to Nashville in 1991 and continued paying dues playing blues and rock gigs and basically anything for little or no money. Eventually starting touring with Barbara Mandrell and later Trisha Yearwood. Decided to stay off the road and concentrate on session work but had the chance to tour with Peter Frampton and decided to head back on the road. As my 2 children were growing up fast I eventually got off the road to be with my family and started to do more studio work which became my full time gig for 5 years. In 2012 I began touring with Tim McGraw and later Faith Hill. Currently touring with McGraw as well as doing session work in Nashville. Album credits: Alabama, Brooks & Dunn, Peter Frampton, Trace Adkins, Big & Rich, Charlie Worsham, Brett Eldredge and others.

In 2018 I released an instrumental EP of original music and played keyboards on some of that as well as mixing, producing and doing the drum tracks at my home studio which I love to do. My second EP was released in 2019.

  • Most memorable Next-Level Performance

There were several nights while playing "Do You Feel" with Peter Frampton that it seemed to be playing itself. The form could change slightly each time but we all listened closely to each other and just let it happen.
  • What Drives Your Creativity?

I search out music that inspires me and I love to listen on high quality audiophile headphones. I have found that a really great pair of headphones can take you to another place where you can get deep inside the music.
  • Why do you choose Vic Firth?

55A's feel great to me and I can play heavy and aggressive or very light and they give me the sound I like.
