Square Peg Round Hole

Square Peg Round Hole is an instrumental percussion-based trio described by NPRs Bob Boilen as a œcreative adventure. Evan Chapman, Sean M. Gill, and Carlos Pacheco-Perez utilize drums, vibraphone, samples, found objects, and synths to create music that draws on elements from post-rock, electronic, ambient, and contemporary classical genres.

Square Peg Round Hole formed in 2011 while studying at the Indiana University Jacobs School of Music. The band has performed across the US, sharing bills with The Bad Plus, Kneebody, Dawn of Midi, So Percussion, Rafiq Bhatia, and touring the East Coast with The Mercury Program and Son Luxs Ian Chang.

  • WHAT INSPIRES YOU?

Ever since we first started using Vic Firth drum sticks as children, we knew that they were the tried and true industry standard for drummers. After maturing, making our way through music school, and setting out on the road, we also grew to truly value the community Vic Firth fostered and the support they gave towards contemporary musicians. 20 years later and we haven't looked back!
